Molongle Creek dredging plan introduced

Hall Contracting has just introduced an update on their maintenance dredging works at the Molongle Creek access channel.

Having been tasked with widening the channel to 20m and deepening it to 2m below lowest astronomical tide (LAT), Hall plans to dredge up to 120,000m3 of sediment from the Molongle Creek boat ramp access channel.

The cutter suction dredge Mabuiag will be used to carry out the works, which will provide boaties with all-tide access to Cape Upstart and offshore waters.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2021 (weather permitting).

Hall will undertake this dredging program for the Queensland Government Department of Transport and Main Roads.
