Work to replace sand along this 3.4 mile stretch of Hutchinson Island is slated to begin around March 19.

A public meeting to discuss construction of this 3.4 mile beach renourishment project is scheduled for Monday, February 14 at 2 p.m. at the Nettles Island West Recreation Hall in Jensen Beach.

“While the pumping of sand on the beach isn’t expected to begin until March 19, residents should be aware that land surveying and vibratory monitoring (small seismic recording units temporarily placed in/or around condominiums) will begin soon,” the St. Lucie County said.

The renourishment project is anticipated to be complete before April 30.
