The Project creates jobs, supports clean energy, invests in an underserved community and includes innovative financing.

The Port of Brownsville is leading the way in supporting wind energy development with its capacity to bring in turbine components & shipping them to destinations across the U.S.

By deepening the Brazos Island Harbor Channel, the Port will become one of the deepest ports on the Gulf of Mexico.

Completing the Brazos Island Harbor ship channel improvement project is a high priority for both the Rio Grande Valley and the State of Texas as a whole.
