As reported, the maintenance dredging of the FBH entrance which is scheduled to continue until end of November 2022, will remove accumulated sediments and maintain safe navigable depths into the FBH.

During the works, approximately 30,000m3 of dredge material will be removed from a proposed dredge footprint area of 26,690m2. The project is being conducted by CGC Dredging crews with the use of cutter suction dredge MUDLARK 1.

MWPA also added that similar to the 2002/2003 capital dredge campaign, and the 2012 and 2021 maintenance dredge projects, all dredged material will be relocated to the existing Berth 7 Dredge Material Placement Area (DMPA).
