Jubahib also said that the equipment will enable the province to bring more services to the barangays, accelerate infrastructure development and enhance disaster preparedness for effective response through its latest acquisition.

“We aim to deliver more services, build more infrastructures and improve disaster response to satisfy the basic needs of our people,” Jubahib said.

For one, he said the excavators will assist dredging machines in the ongoing desilting of major rivers and tributaries in the province to address the perennial flood problem.

With the new fleet of heavy equipment and vehicles, the governor said the provincial government is also empowered to deliver at least 95 percent of basic services to the people.
