The scheme is part of an ambitious development plan to put the Port Said Shipyard in the role of “the leading shipyard in the area”.

The first stage includes dredging works that will allow the shipyard to receive ships with a draft of more than 13m on the berth and more than 20m on the floating dockside.

PSS also intends to increase the width of the quay, installing a new pile wall, Fenders, bollard Pulls, service lines (Fire Fitting, Fresh Water, Compressed air, shore connection boxes .. etc).

Next, the shipyard will build a new jetty crane, new storing areas, workshops, new offices for agents, agencies, and class societies.
