American Construction kicked off dredging in mid-December and was working 24/7 to complete the project as planned by the end of February.

The dredging operations included the use of a clamshell dredge to remove approximately 193,000 cubic yards of accumulated sediment from the lower settling basin.

The dredged material was towed and disposed at the Department of Natural Resources’ Port Gardner open water disposal site in Puget Sound, Washington.
