The Damen built multi purpose vessel has international Bureau Veritas Class which allows her to take on projects anywhere in the world, said the company.

She has been issued with an Irish Loadline and Irish P5 passenger boat licence which makes her suitable for many different projects such as towage, dredging support, barge handling, marine civil support, anchor handling, salvage, renewable energy, etc.

“At 22.5metres in length with a shallow draft and an impressive 18.2tonne pollard, 2 split winches, 2 capstans and a deck crane, the Taktow is unrivelled in shallow harbours and confined spaces handling large barges at her ease as proven on her first project in Fenit, Co Kerry, manoeuvring 450 cubic metres (1000 tonne) barges in inner marina area to dumpsite,” said O’Malley Marine.
