Allen Harbor dredging update

Barnstable County (Cape Cod) Massachusetts yesterday published a video update about the Allen Harbor Approach Channel dredging project.

According to the County, the dredge Sand Shifter started the Allen Harbor dredging project last week.

The navigation channel, the area from the western jetty and along the breakwater, will be the focus of most of the dredging work.

The target volume is approximately 6,500 Cubic Yards. It is expected that this project will be completed by June 3rd.

Last year, from May 9 until May 27, the County removed around 10,000 CY of dredge material from the Allen Harbor Entrance Channel.
