The project itself consists of the placement of circa 200000 tonnes of rock with a geotextile underlay and Primary armour in the 1-3 tonne range.

All rock delivered to site is weighed using a Globeweigh Group portable weighbridge supplied for the contract.

This will be accomplished utilising Foyle and Marine Spudleg Barge ‘TARA MARIE’ with the Hitachi EX1200-6 Grizzly 2.0 onboard and the Foyle and Marine EX1200-7 onshore, assisted by a ZX890-7, a ZX530-7, and a ZX210-7 supplied by TBF Thompson (Garvagh) Ltd.

Rock will be delivered to the site via the road network and from Foyle Port at Lisahally via an 850m3 Split Hopper barge from Baars BV and Foyle and Marine Tug ‘CHLOE MAY’ a Damen built Tug.

The project is under the supervision of Doran Consulting acting on behalf of Donegal County Council.
