The project, which kicked off in early January, will provide much needed sand and storm protection to the south end of town.

The contractor, Weeks Marine has so far filled the beaches of Trenton and Boston, completing the north end of the project.

According to the Town, the dredge and piping has now moved south and currently filling Neptune and Seaside beaches.

The contractor has pumped around 150,000 cubic yards of sand on to the town’s beach to date. The operation is 24/7 and there are now two dredges working simultaneously to keep the project moving.
