The project cost is P209.16 million ($3.5 million), according to the Invitation to Bid for qualified contractors.

The official plan is to complete the Alegria dredging contract in 470 calendar days from the receipt of the Notice to Proceed by the successful bidder.

Bids for Alegria dredging project must be received by Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) secretariat on or before June 13,” said PPA.

Bids opening is also scheduled on same date at 3 p.m. at the 7th Floor, PPA Building, A. Bonifacio Drive, South Harbor, Port Area, Manila.

According to PPA, the main goal of the program is the further expansion of Alegria Port areas, allowing the larger vessels to dock, which would bring more economic opportunities to Aklan and the neighboring provinces.
