Dredging

Dredging work is set to take place in the following days at the Clifton Springs Boat Harbor, in response to recent storms, the City of Greater Geelong said.

According to Geelong Council, the recent storms have resulted in seagrass wrack at the entrance to the harbor, with dredging to start this week to clear it.

Vessel operators are advised to take extra caution in traversing the entrance and to have engines raised,” the Council said on their website.

“Vessels with a deeper draft should plan to cross only at high tide levels.”

Council added that the dredging program will start on September 12 or 13, and will continue through until the passage has been cleared.
