Completed in July 2025, this project repurposed dredged material from Bandy Creek Boat Harbour to nourish Castletown Beach, addressing seasonal coastal erosion.

The dredging restored channel depths at the entrance to the harbour and reduced the sand trap adjacent to the eastern breakwater to improve navigation and safety.

This is the first project to utilise the Shire of Esperance’s permanent back-passing pipeline, an innovation that enhances sustainable coastal management.
