USA: Orion Marine Group Announces a Contract Award of Approximately $13 Million

Orion Marine Group, Inc., a leading heavy civil marine contractor serving the infrastructure sector, today announced a contract award of approximately $13 million.

Orion Marine Group’s wholly owned subsidiary, King Fisher Marine Service, LP., was recently awarded a contract by Cameron Parish to dredge approximately 2.7 million cubic yards of material for maintenance dredging and beach nourishment between the Calcasieu River Loop Pass and the East Fork in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.

“This project highlights the ongoing coastal restoration and protection projects in the Louisiana area,” said Elliott Kennedy, Orion Marine Group’s Executive Vice President, Gulf Coast. “We are proud to once again provide much needed services for maintenance dredging and beach nourishment in the area”.

Onsite construction of the project is expected to commence during the fourth quarter of 2010 and last approximately 6 months.
