Spain: Almarin, Ahlers Lindley Launch New Range of Marine Buoys

Almarin, based in Barcelona, Spain, and Ahlers Lindley, based in Estoril, Portugal, have joint forces to launch a new range of marine buoys and towers under the name Balizamar. The primary application of the Balizamar line of products is Aids to Navigation (AtoN), flotation and mooring buoys. Balizamar will be in Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS), in Amsterdam, between the next 15 to 17 November.

These medium sized buoys are robust in design and built to a very high specification.  A central load bearing steel structure transmits mooring loads from mooring eye to the rotomoulded hull via a large deck plate, without any fixing screws, ensuring long term reliability.

The Balizamar range also includes steel towers. These towers, with standard heights between 2 and 10m, for marine beaconing are designed to support wind loads of 200km/h. Built to measure, the towers can be built from galvanized mild steel or from stainless steel.

Custom accessories such as upper platforms, solar or wind generator supports or even a small door for internal storage are available. Almarin and Ahlers Lindley have several years of experience in design and turn key supply of marine navigation aids alongside their role as distributors for the market leaders in the industry.
