Dewey Beach Receives New Sand (USA)

Tony Pratt, DNREC Spokesman, said that the sand replenishment project at the Dewey Beach has been completed.

The contractor instantly began the job of landfalling the hydraulic pipe in Rehoboth Beach.

Pratt added that the replenishment project at Rehoboth Beach should be completed in less than a month.

A total of about 1 million cubic yards of sand has been deposited along the shoreline, ever since the project began in November in Dewey Beach.

Bill Brown, Dewey’s financial director and acting town manager also said that the replenishment project obviously has been very helpful to all the coastal towns along the Atlantic to make sure the beaches are in outstanding condition for the tourists and the summer season.
