New Owners of Bembridge Harbour Plan Dredging (UK)

Malcolm Thorpe and his wife Fiona bought the Bembridge Harbour and a surrounding 200 acres from the administrator.

The new owners are keen to involve the local community in harbour’s redevelopment.

“There is a huge amount of investment needed that has been outstanding during the previous regime — dredging the harbour, replacing old, tired, pontoons, upgrading shore facilities, and dealing with health and safety issues to name but a few,” said Mr Thorpe.

“We have to concentrate on restoring a stable platform for the business and the harbour as a whole — there is no quick overnight fix,” said Mr Thorpe.
