 High PCB Levels Detected at Port of Monroe

Unexpectedly high levels of the now-banned insulating chemicals known as PCBs were found in the Raisin River near the Port of Monroe.

According to clickondetroit.com, the current dredging project has found PCB readings of up to 10,000 parts per billion.

The material sampling at this area began last week and is scheduled to conclude this week.
