CCCC Third Harbor Launches Xuwei Breakwater Project

On October 23, the breakwater project in Xuwei area of Lianyungang Port in Jiangsu Province broke ground.

With a length of 21.8 kilometers, the breakwater project will cost 4.38 billion yuan. Section DXP-SG1 undertaken by CCCC Third Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. involves a 4,000-meter breakwater and the temporary works necessary for breakwater construction, including 2.12 million cubic meters of riprap, 89,000 cubic meters of prefabricated parts and 56,000 blocks of facing.

The project is of positive significance to pushing forward Jiangsu’s thorough implementation of the coastal development strategy and building Lianyungang Port into a major coastal pivotal port in the east coastal region.
