Fraser River Dredging Plans Move Ahead (Canada)
The Fraser River dredging plans are moving ahead, according to delta-optimist.com.
This Port Metro Vancouver’s development program will include the construction of a man-made island for a new terminal.
The new terminal at the environmentally-sensitive estuary of the Fraser River should have three container berths.
According to delta-optimist.com, the Port Metro Vancouver officials believe that the British Columbia container traffic is expected to double over the next 10 to 15 years, and the new terminal should fulfill its purpose.
