Wedel Introduces Harbor Redesign Plans

The city of Wedel has introduced a plan for the harbor construction works.

This plan includes redesign of the Schulauer harbour in Wedel with:

– Planned shortening and backfilling to part of the harbour creating a new Port Gate Square;

– Widening of the existing harbour basin;

– Redesign the harbour approach by building an accessible pier and wharf;

– Redesign of the surrounding basin areas.

In some areas unsustainable and also contaminated soil exists and this will require professional disposal services.

As part of the construction project, the following works will include:

– Site installation and clearance;

– Earthworks;

– Water works;

– Reinforced concrete works;

– Sewer and manhole construction work;

– Disposal services;

– Ground deliveries;

– Manufacture of surface mount;

– Laying and connection of supply and disposal lines (RW, SW, electric, etc.).

The deadline for this tender is March 12, 2013.
