Boustany Commends Vitter for Bringing Attention to Dredging Needs

Congressman Charles W. Boustany, Jr., M.D., (R-South Louisiana) issued the following statement yesterday to commend U.S. Senator David Vitter of Louisiana for bringing awareness to the dredging needs of the nation’s waterways with his work in the U.S. Senate:

“America’s ports and harbors continue to suffer from a lack of proper dredging. The RAMP Act continues to serve as the leading legislation addressing the funding problems surrounding waterway dredging and maintenance issues. I am pleased to hear Senator Vitter join my effort and welcome his voice and help on this matter. As support on Capitol Hill continues to grow for the bipartisan RAMP Act, I remain committed to seeing America’s waterways receive the proper funding they need to operate at maximum efficiency.”
