Waveland Beach Closes for Renourishment Project (USA)
Waveland Beach will temporarily close ahead of a beach renourishment project slated to commence along South Hutchinson Island, reports wptv.com.
Waveland Beach is about a mile north of Jensen Beach, where a beach renourishment project is just finishing up.
St. Lucie County lifeguards will be relocated to South Beach Park, 801 South Ocean Drive, until the project is completed and the access structures at Waveland Beach are rebuilt.
Lifeguards will be on duty 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
