Kurendhoo Island Harbor Plan Includes Dredging

Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure signed a contract with Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) for the construction of harbor at LH. Kurendhoo Island.

The project, which is funded by the Government of Maldives, costs approximately MVR 40 million and the works have to be completed within 365 days.

Under this project, harbor will be constructed in the existing foot print. The main components of the harbor works includes construction of 207 meter concrete quay-wall, 309 meter rock revetment, 582 meter rock armour breakwater and dredging the harbor basin to a depth of 3 meters.
