CHEC Nabs Port Mole Land Reclamation Contract

On May 13, CHEC won the bids for Lot 1 and 2 of the regulation project of Port Mole in Libreville, Gabon, with a contract value of some 120 million US dollars and a construction period of 360 days.

Located in the center of Libreville, capital of Gabon, the project includes two lots: Lot 1 (land reclamation) and Lot 2 (hydraulic structure), and involves 340,000 square meters of land reclamation (total reclamation volume of some 2.1 million cubic meters), a 1,100-meter vertical revetment, a 3,600-meter slope revetment and breakwater repair (some 200 meters in length).

After completion, the project will greatly improve the operating conditions of Port Mole and effectively promote local economic development.

The successful bid is of positive significance for CHEC to further develop the African market.
