Cashman Bags St. Lucie Inlet Dredging Contract

Cashman Dredging & Marine Contracting Company was awarded a $6,465,000 contract on July 30, 2013 for maintenance dredging on the Sandy O&M Supplemental, Maintenance Dredging, 7-ft Project, Impoundment Basin and Entrance Channel Cut-1, St. Lucie Inlet, Martin County, Florida.

The project was awarded and will be managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District.

It is scheduled to begin November 2013 and end in February 2014.

Approximately 200,000 cubic yards of shoaled material will be removed from the inlet and the impoundment basin. The dredged material will be loaded into hopper barges and pumped onto the beach at St Lucie Inlet Preserve State Park.
