North Harbor Dredging Set for September

The Army Corps of Engineers contracted out to Sitka’s S&S General Contractors to dredge the North Harbor, reports petersburgpilot.com.

The Petersburg’s North Boat Harbor dredging and reconstruction project is set to begin in September.

The total value of the project amounts to USD 8 million.

Dredging costs will be covered by the state and the Petersburg Borough.

Harbormaster Glorianne Wollen says that the grand reopening is scheduled for next next year’s Little Norway Festival.
