CCCC Fourth Harbor Wins Baosteel Zhanjiang Deal (China)

CCCC Fourth Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. has recently won the bid for the terminal project and its auxiliary works (finished product berths) of Baosteel Zhanjiang iron & steel base, with a contract value of nearly 270 million yuan and a construction period of 1,126 days.

The project involves a break-bulk cargo terminal, a working vessel terminal as well as auxiliary facilities like yard and bank protection structure. The break-bulk cargo terminal has a 50,000t berth and a 10,000t berth, with a total length of 662 meters; the two berths of the working vessel terminal are in the structure of floating steel pontoon; and the bank protection structure has a total length of 481.2 meters. With a designed annual handling capacity of 6.91 million tons, the project primarily undertakes the shipment of finished steel.

After its completion, the project will become one of the key terminals of shipment for finished steel from Baosteel Zhanjiang iron & steel base, and will be of great significance to perfecting the transportation system of the base and stepping up local infrastructural construction.
