Officials Announce Meeting on Port Everglades Master Plan

Residents and interested parties are invited to attend a public meeting for a status update on the Port Everglades 20-Year Master/Vision Plan Update (October 8, 2013, at Broward County Main Library Auditorium, 100 South Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale, FL).

Broward County’s Port Everglades Department is planning for future growth with an update of its 20-year Master/Vision Plan to help plot a course for expanding and enhancing existing facilities in a manner that is economical and efficient, as well as environmentally responsible.

This public meeting will present the preliminary results of market and business line forecasts covering the next 20 years. Residents and interested parties will have the opportunity to provide feedback. This will be the second public meeting. The first public meeting was held in June to provide information on the current status of Port projects and obtain feedback from the public on topics that should be addressed during the update process.

The current Port Everglades Master/Vision Plan was approved by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners in March 2011. Elements of the Port Everglades Master/Vision Plan currently being implemented are visible throughout the Port. This update to the Port Everglades Master/Vision Plan will address changes that have taken place regionally, nationally and internationally since the Plan was approved in 2011.
