Jan de Nul, Dredging International to Dredge Ghent-Terneuzen Canal

The Jan de Nul and Dredging International joint venture has won the the Ghent-Terneuzen navigation canal dredging contract.

The main goal of this maintenance dredging project, worth approximately EUR 9.3 mln, is to ensure correct depths of the mentioned canal.

The Ghent–Terneuzen canal is a waterway which links Ghent in Belgium to the port of Terneuzen on the Westerschelde (Scheldt) estuary in the Netherlands.

Today, the Ghent-Terneuzen canal is 200 meters wide and 32 kilometers long, capable of accommodating vessels of up to 125 000 gross tonnage.
