Dagupan Dredging Scheme Kicks Off

In her speech during the opening program of Brigada Eskwela at Caranbglaan Elementary School, Dagupan City Mayor Belen Fernandez bared steps being undertaken by the city government in order to address the perennial flooding problem that affects mostly pupils and students in the city.

The dredging of rivers in the city has started and more projects are underway so that flooding in our city will be minimized if not solved,” said Fernandez.

Corollary to this, the city has released a budget of P500,000 for the food for work project of the 31 barangays to be used mainly in mobilizing the people to clean the drainage systems, sewerage system and the surroundings of their community attention.
