Port of Stockton: Antioch Dunes Scheme (VIDEO)

Founded in 1980, The Antioch Dunes Project is designed to restore and protect the habitat of 3 endangered species: The Contra Costa Wallflower, The Antioch Dunes Evening Primrose, and Lange’s Metalmark Butterfly.

The Port of Stockton takes leftover sediment from their annual dredging maintenance and uses it to help restore the dunes.

This is one of many innovative solutions the Port of Stockton embraces as a regional leader and responsible neighbor.
