Lido Beach Renourishment Money Gets OK
Sarasota County Commissioners approved on Tuesday spending $1 million in tourist tax funds to pump sand onto Lido Beach early next year.
Sand for the interim project will be dredged from a shoal near New Pass, according to Herald Tribune.
The total cost of the interim project will be between $3 and $4 million, with most of it paid for by the federal government.
The project will begin in late January or February, and should be complete in March, announced MySuncoast.
