Azov Berth Reconstruction Contract Awarded

The Azov Basin Branch of FSUE “Rosmorport” has announced that the winner of the berth reconstruction contract for the port in Kagalnik village (Lotspost) is Podvodrechstroy-9, a subsidiary of the state owned Podvodrechstroy company.

In accordance with the results of an open request for proposals, Podvodrechstroy will be responsible to perform reconstruction of berth No. 1 along with dredging and coastal protection works.

During the works, the total berth wall length will be increased from 35.6 to 105 meters. Depth of the berth No. 1 will be increased up to 4 meters according to Baltic Elevation System.

Implementation of the project will enable:

• increase of the Azov Seaport berth wall length used by auxiliary fleet and dredging fleet of the branch;
• increase of depths in the Lotspost Bay waters;
• creation of a coastal protection to protect the territory from washaway;
• increase of areas for storage of aids to navigation of the Azov Basin Branch with extra equipment.
