Ust-Luga Dredging Project Up for Bids

FSUE “Rosmorport” has just announced an open tender for the maintenance dredging of Ust-Luga Seaport.

The port is situated in the Gulf of Finland in the Baltic Sea, 147 km from St. Petersburg and 36 km from the EU border. Today the port operates numerous terminals including sulphur terminal, universal cargo terminal, coal terminal, Multipurpose terminal Yug-2, auto-railway ferry complex etc.

The tender, worth approx $2.2 million, is for the first phase of dredging the port’s transshipment complexes, approach canal of Novaya Gavan Ruchyi and first phase of container terminal.

All bids must be submitted before June 8, 2015.

This comes as a part of the company’s strategic plan to perform over 38 mln cbm of dredging works in 2015-2017. Nearly one-third of the works will be executed by using Rosmorport’s own equipment with the rest to be fulfilled by contracting companies.
