Laurel Dredging on the Table
Prince George’s County will hold a public hearing to address questions regarding the finalization of the Laurel Lakes Dredging Project on November 16, 2015.
The current phase of the work has a partial fence around the upper portion of Laurel Lakes on the west-side of Oxford Drive. The walking path around the upper lake and sidewalk on the west-side of Oxford Drive was closed throughout this process, but has reopened.
Topics to be discussed will include the landscaping plans, the partial fencing around the project and general maintenance.
The Laurel Lakes Dredging Project came about when the quality of the water began to degrade due to sediment loads from storm water runoff entering the lakes through storm drain systems.
