Wasa Dredging: Oslo Fairway Project Moves Forward
The Oslo Fairway dredging works, undertaken by a Finnish dredging equipment manufacturer and contractor – Wasa Dredging, are progressing very well so far.
Wasa has just released this beautiful photo from this dredging scheme, which shows their backhoe giant Hector during the deepening work at the most southern part of the fairway.
About 90.000m³ of bedrock will be taken out from this area and dumped in Spro havn, Wasa said.
The Hector is working in the area with barges Jenna and Laura.
During the project, 27 different locations will be dredged, spreading over 25 km long fairway from Drøback to Oslo Indre havn.
