EPA to Hold Five-Year Hudson River PCB Workshop

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will hold a public workshop today to discuss the progress of the second five-year review for the Hudson River PCBs Superfund site.

This is the second in a series of workshops that are being held to involve the public during the five-year review process for the Hudson River PCBs Superfund site.

The meeting has been scheduled for 4-6 p.m. at the Henry A. Wallace Center at the FDR Presidential Library and Home in Hyde Park, NY.

This workshop will include an overview of the five-year review process and a summary of the topics that have been discussed to date during the ongoing monthly meetings of the Five-Year Review Team, which includes representatives from a number of state and federal agencies (New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, New York State Department of Health, New York State Canal Corporation, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. National Park Service and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) and the site’s Community Advisory Group.

The anticipated schedule for the completion of the review and opportunities for public input will also be discussed.

The workshop is open to the public.
