Mackley Takes Part at Flood Expo

Mackley recently took part at the Flood Expo event, the world’s leading flood exhibition and conference.

The two-day event, staged on 12-13 October at London Excel, gathered high-profile speakers that presented latest solutions to widespread flooding problems.

It also featured an extensive seminar and workshop schedule designed to help highlight new, cost-effective ways to prevent and manage floods.

The conference included a presentation by Doug Wilson from the Environment Agency, titled ‘Learning from winter 2015/16 and next steps’.

The National Flood Resilience Review looked at the flooding caused by extreme rainfall in December 2015, and this presentation covered the work done, the lessons learnt and the action being taken ahead of next winter and in the longer term.

Other keynote speakers included: Jerry Cotter – United States Army Corps of Engineers, Andy Chew – Cisco UK & Ireland and Professor Dragan Savic – University of Exeter.
