HME Construction Wins Grays Harbor Dredging Gig

HME Construction Inc., from Vancouver, Washington, has won a $7 million contract for the Grays Harbor Inner Harbor Operations and Maintenance Dredging Program.

Bids were solicited via the internet with two received, reports the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).

Work will be performed in Aberdeen, Washington, with an estimated completion date of September 30, 2020,” according to an official statement from DoD.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District, is the contracting activity for this dredging project.

Founded in 1911, the Port of Grays Harbor is one of Washington State’s oldest port districts and Washington’s only deep-water port located directly on the Pacific Ocean.

Located on Washington’s Pacific Coast, the port operates four deep-water marine terminals, manages 600 acres of industrial property, operates the Westport Marina and Bowerman Airport and is home to more than 100 private businesses.
