Visiting the Conference, Royal HaskoningDHV will on Thursday, 11 October, discuss the issues involved in procuring a new quay from the perspective of the different parties involved; from the port COO and Engineer, project financiers, to the Contractors and the Designers.

Stephen Pugmire, Associate Director for Royal HaskoningDHV’s Newcastle office commented “We’re looking forward to speaking at the conference on Thursday 11 October. The conference provides a unique opportunity for those working in the maritime industry to meet with key stakeholders and for everyone to discuss the most recent trends and changes in policy that could affect us all.”

We hope that our unique presentation will enable attendees to see how the different parties in the procurement process behave the way they do, and to see the factors that influence their behavior. We’re aiming to spark some necessary questions within the maritime industry on the most effective procurement method and how the procurement process could be streamlined for all involved,” added Stephen Pugmire.

According to Royal HaskoningDHV, the issues will be discussed providing a practical example of how it is a relatable to procurement in the maritime sector. The presentation will bring together the different stakeholders, their conflicting views and practices and how it influences the process of procuring port infrastructure.
