Rakeedhoo development work wraps up

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) successfully completed the V. Rakeedhoo Harbour development rogram last week.

This very important expansion program included:

• dredging and excavation operations – 5.654cbm;

• construction of a 198m quay wall;

• construction of a 156m breakwater;

• a 44m revetment;

• installation of 594sqm of harbour pavements.

According to MTCC, the contract value is MVR 18.5 million ($1.2 million).

The Rakeedhoo project was contracted to MTCC by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure on October 2019.
