Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation elects new president

Jeffery M. Svendson Sr., a longtime member of several conservation organizations and owner of Advanced Logistics, LLC, of Lafayette was elected recently as the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation (LAWFF) President.

Svendson, who previously held the position of Vice President of the Foundation, will serve as President for a two-year term.

He replaces Christopher M. Kinsey of Shreveport, who will remain on the LAWFF Board of Directors.

“It’s certainly a great honor to be elected to this post and I look forward to serving and continuing to work to make Louisiana the Sportsman’s Paradise” Svendson said.

“Our organization works diligently to help maintain our state’s abundant natural resources. We’ll continue to work closely with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries in making sure that future generations can enjoy Louisiana outdoors to the fullest.”

Svendson is also an active board member for the American Association of Drilling Engineers and Dredge the Vermilion (DTV), a grassroots organization focused on flood prevention & conservation in Teche-Vermilion watershed. 

He is also a member of the Coastal Conservation Association, Life Member of Duck’s Unlimited US, Canada, and Mexico, the National Rifle Association, and Louisiana Landowners Association.
