Earlier this year, DSC Dredge of Reserve (LA) successfully delivered its 48th Wolverine Class Dredge to Azerbaijan.

DSC Dredge

The new cutter suction head dredge will operate out of Astara, Azerbaijan, to maintain the harbor depth and harbor entrance.

The Wolverine is a compact conventional dredge that offers single-truck portability in most areas of the world; and is fully functional with just one operator.

Also, the vessel is hydraulically driven and is considered a conventional dredge operating off a two-spud system.

The Wolverine can reach dredging depths down to 25 feet (7.6 m) below the surface. It has a maximum particle size of 6 inches (150 mm) and is available with a 10-inch (250 mm) discharge configuration.

The prime mover is a Caterpillar model C13 ACERT diesel engine with 440 bhp (328 bkW). This radiator cooled engine includes a Caterpillar air cleaner, muffler and control panel. Available in Tier 4 configuration or lesser regulated for export.
