The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ dredging contractor, Manson Construction, will be dredging the existing southern basin at the Harbor Marina located on the Amelia River, the City announced.

The scope of the dredging, approximately 15,000 cubic yards of material to be removed, was based upon a recent survey of the basin.

As in the past, the contractor will use the Dolphin Beach/Main Beach parking lot for the staging of their equipment beginning next Wednesday, January 19, with the installation of portable security fencing around the parking area.

Dredging is set to begin at the edge of the Dredge Area closest to the shoreline and proceed parallel to the shoreline between the docks. Placement of the dredged material will be North Beach.
