The City of Gig Harbor is proposing to dredge sediment from a location near the northern entrance to the Murphy’s Landing Marina.

The purpose of the dredging is to restore the site to previous grades, facilitating boat access into and out from the marina.

The proposal includes the dredging of accumulated sediments to an approximate elevation of 10 feet relative to mean lower low water (MLLW).

Approximately 700 cubic yards of sediment will be removed from an approximately 8, 000-square-foot area.

All work will be performed below the ordinary high-water mark of Gig Harbor Bay and will be performed over a period of 1 –3 days.

Public hearing will take place on December 6 (virtual hearing).
