On behalf of the WSA Weser-Jade-Nordsee, Hegemann Dredging (part of the Hegemann-Reiners Gruppe) is currently carrying out dredging works to maintain the required target depths in the new outer harbour of Wilhelmshaven.

According to the company, the project includes removal of approx. 2 million m³ of dredged sediment from the harbour with spoils disposal in an approved offshore disposal area.

The Hegemann V will carry out several dredging campaigns in the next 22.5 months to maintain navigation flows in Wilhelmshaven, Hegemann Dredging said in the update.
