According to ESTEVE, the hopper dredger Vox Amalia owned by Van Oord has arrived at the Paldiski South Harbour, loading sand from the northern coast of Hiiumaa and transporting it to the harbour, where it will be unloaded to fill new quay No. 6A.

The vessel is scheduled to make about 60 visits, averaging about 2 trips per day, with the entire project expected to last around 4-6 weeks.

The new 6A quay in Paldiski, Estonia – expected to cost over €52 million – is necessary to increase the maritime transport capacity of vehicles and goods.

When fully completed in mid-2025, the new quay will ensure enough capacity for the port to receive high-draft special-purpose vessels for the construction of offshore wind farms and the transport of wind turbine components.
