Brennan met Ms. Rienks’s class on Wrightsville Beach to get a close look at what beach renourishment looks like.

He taught them about the beach renourishment process, what’s included in planning and managing the project, and what happens during construction,” said USACE in its announcement.

Also, Brennan and the class discussed the benefits of the Wrightsville Beach Coastal Storm Risk Management project and how USACE protects the East Coast’s most dynamic coastline.
